E-health system updates are in progress, and disruptions are being recorded
During the ongoing E-health system updates, users may experience difficulties when connecting to or using the system. The Ministry informs that the causes of the disruptions are being identified, and specialists from the Registry Center are working to resolve them as quickly as possible to stabilize the system’s operation.
The Ministry reminds that if healthcare professionals are unable to access the E-health system, they must issue paper prescriptions. Starting from November 8, when issuing paper prescriptions, the healthcare professional must include a note at the top of the prescription — in this specific case, the note should read 'No technical capability.' The healthcare professional must also sign next to this note.
If a reimbursable medicine or reimbursable medical aid device (MPD) is prescribed, a paper prescription form No. 3 or form No. 3 (for exceptional cases) must be used. We remind that when reimbursable narcotic or psychotropic medicines are prescribed on paper, only form No. 3 or form No. 3 (for exceptional cases) should be completed — form No. 2 should not be used. Additionally, please note that the new version of prescription form No. 1 will take effect only on May 4, 2026. Until then, the current (older) version of form No. 1 must continue to be used.
In order to ensure patients’ access to medicines, during the E-health system update (until further notice), pharmacists may dispense (sell) medicines and reimbursable medical aid devices (MPDs) prescribed on paper prescriptions even if the prescription does not include a note explaining the reason for issuing a paper prescription, such as 'No technical capability'.
If patients still have their old Reimbursable Medicines Passport, they are advised to bring it with them when visiting a healthcare professional.
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.
