Assistance for regions of Easter Ukraine reforming the psychosocial rehabilitation sector
Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania in accordance with the Programme of Development Cooperation and Democracy Assistance financing is implementing a project “Assistance for regions of Easter Ukraine reforming the psychosocial rehabilitation sector”. The project is financed by the Programme of Development Cooperation and Democracy Assistance funds (the Programme is financed by the budget of the Republic of Lithuania).
The aim of the project is to identify the main problems in the sector of psychosocial rehabilitation and assist in reforming the provision of psychosocial services in the regions of Easter Ukraine by sharing the experience of Lithuanian experts. During this project Lithuanian experts will visit Ukraine, the cities of Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk, in order to analyze and evaluate the current situation and provide suggestions how to improve the organizational scheme of psychosocial rehabilitation services delivery.
In addition to this, Lithuanian experts will provide trainings for Ukrainian specialists regarding the different topics, for example: organization of psychosocial work, nursing, social work, psychological and other services provision. Also, experts will provide help with the transformation process during the establishment of Crisis Intervention Centers.
After implementation of the project and due to the experience sharing of Lithuanian experts, will be created necessary conditions for the establishment of Crisis Intervention Centers in the regions of Eastern Ukraine which will provide the highest quality psychosocial rehabilitation services.
