System upgrade work will continue over the weekend – the E. sveikata (eHealth) system will be temporarily unavailable

During the night from Friday to Saturday, the Centre of Registers (Registrų centras), which manages the country's main national data resources, will continue work on migrating the core database management system to a modern database platform. While this work is being carried out, the Centre of Registers' systems—including the eHealth (E. sveikata) system—will be unavailable. The self-service portal will also be inaccessible, and services will not be provided during this period.

The database transfer work is scheduled to begin on June 19 (Friday) at 22:00, and is expected to continue until June 20 (Saturday) at 06:00 .

A week ago, trial work was carried out to transfer the database management system, which made it possible to better assess all risks and ensure their proper management. This week, the final implementation work is planned. Once completed, the system will transition to a modern database management solution. The Centre of Registers' largest database, which stores data from the main national registers, is being moved to Oracle's Exadata database management system.

Specialists at the Centre of Registers carefully plan all technological changes. New solutions are first tested in non-production environments, and additional testing is carried out after software modifications have been implemented. If any issues are identified, the incident response team is prepared to react promptly and resolve any problems that may arise.
