The visit included visits to medical institutions in Ukraine and participation in a conference organised by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on "International Medical Partnership: a Guarantee for Ukraine's Recovery and Security", which focused on international cooperation in the field of health.
According to the Minister, multi-level partnerships between countries are essential to effectively address the complex challenges posed by war and to ensure a coordinated, resilient health response in the future.
"First of all, through the International Medical Partnership, we share expertise and resources with Ukraine. Secondly, these partnerships provide opportunities for health workers to share best practices and promote professional development. Thirdly, we provide assistance to those affected by the war, both in Ukraine itself and to refugees and displaced persons," says Mr Dulkys.

"Bilateralism and mutual benefit are very important in partnership projects. We have no doubt that the experience of Mykolaiv Hospitals will be particularly useful in improving our hospital's emergency preparedness and staff training plans. We have discussed with our colleagues the importance of ensuring comprehensive health services for the entire population, even in a war zone where there are active military operations. Therefore, we are happy to contribute to improving neonatal, cardiac and rehabilitation services in the Mykolaiv region," shares Prof. Tomas Jovaiša, Deputy Medical Director for Inpatient Services at Santaros Clinics.
