On 1 October, the Ministry of Health Begins Operating from Its New Office
On 1 October 2026, all departments of the Ministry of Health will begin working from their new office in the „Burės“ business centre (Lvivo g. 25-104, Vilnius). From this date, the ministry’s public service department will also operate from the new premises and continue serving visitors there.
The ministry has moved to its new premises following a public procurement process for office rental. The winning bidder, Eastnine 3Bures-1-2, UAB, submitted the offer that best met the ministry’s needs and provided the best value for money. The leased premises include workstations, supporting areas for work organisation, shared meeting and conference spaces, and a public reception area.
The Ministry of Health’s Chancellor, Liutauras Vičkačka, emphasises that the new office not only better meets the ministry’s operational needs but is also more convenient for the public.
“The ministry’s new office is located in a strategically convenient part of Vilnius, making it easily accessible by both public transport and car from different parts of the city. The well-developed infrastructure makes the new premises convenient for both staff and visitors, and the area is well known for the public and private sector services available nearby. We hope the new environment will provide suitable working conditions for staff and help improve operational efficiency, while ensuring high-quality service for the public,” says the ministry’s Chancellor.
The ministry’s former premises at 33 Vilniaus Street, which the Ministry of Health rented from AB Turto bankas, no longer met modern requirements in terms of the number of workstations and functional capacity. After reviewing its portfolio of state-owned properties in Vilnius, AB Turto bankas was unable to offer the ministry alternative state-owned premises of the required size. Consequently, AB Turto bankas authorised the Ministry of Health to independently rent suitable premises in Vilnius by launching a public procurement procedure for office rental and entering into a lease agreement.
Seven potential suppliers expressed interest in participating in the tender, and three bidders submitted initial offers in the public office rental competition. Following negotiations and the submission of final offers, Eastnine 3Bures-1-2, UAB, was selected as the winner for submitting the most economically advantageous offer. The lease agreement has been concluded for a three-year term, with the option to extend it twice for an additional 12 months each, provided that AB Turto bankas still has no suitable premises available.
The ministry’s public service department is located on the fourth floor of the Small Sail building. Visitors can access the department freely, without special permits, through the entrances to the Small Sail building.
