Baltic countries sign Memorandum of cooperation in health-related crisis management
On Wednesday 24 April in Brussels, Belgium, Lithuania, represented by the Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkys, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Health Crisis Management with Latvia and Estonia.
The Memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of health crisis management, sharing expertise, best practices and available resources, ensuring preparedness and prevention and an effective response to urgent or imminent threats.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Baltic Ministers took place at an informal meeting of European Union Health Ministers, where issues of European concern such as the shortage of health workers, measures to reduce the shortage of medicines, and the fight against cancer, among others, were discussed.
