Vice-Minister Daniel Naumovas holds a Bachelor's degree in bioengineering and a Master's degree in nanobiotechnology from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, and is pursuing a PhD in biology at Vilnius University.
His experience also includes participation in a wide range of biomedical research, projects and scientific publications.
D. Naumovas has previously served as a board member of LithuaniaBIO, associate professor-partner at Vilnius Tech, head-senior researcher of the Biobanking Department at Vilnius University Santaros Clinics. He has also worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a junior researcher and as a senior laboratory technician at the Genetics Laboratory of the Natural Research Centre (NRC).
