The decision concerning the award of the assistance for the five projects under the measure “Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions”

On 6 February the Decision concerning the award of the assistance (available only in lithuanian) for the five projects under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009–2014 Programme “Public Health Inequalities” measure “Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions” (hereinafter – Decision) was approved by the Order V-168 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania:

Project title: Improvement of health care services provision in school/ pre-school institutions in Telšiai and Akmenė districts

Project promoter: Telšiai district municipal public health bureau

Project value: 243 224,10 Eur (839 804,17 Lt)

2. Project application code: NOR-LT11-SAM-01-K-02-002

Project title: Improvement of the health services network in schools and pre-school institutions in Mažeikiai district municipality

Project promoter: Mažeikiai district municipal public health bureau

Project value: 242 674,98 Eur (837 908,14 Lt)

3. Project application code: NOR-LT11-SAM-01-K-02-011

Project title: Improvement of health cares services provision in school/ pre-school institutions in Molėtai district, Panevėžys district and Utena district

Project promoter: Panevėžys district municipal public health bureau

Project value: 246 163,03 Eur (849 951,70 Lt)

Project title: Improvement of health cares service provision in school/ pre-school institutions in Lazdijai district, Druskininkai, Alytus district and Kalvarijos municipalities institutions

Project promoter: Lazdijai district municipal public health bureau

Project value: 249 546,61 Eur (861 634,54 Lt)

Project title: Improvement of provision of health care services in school/ pre-school institutions of Tauragė, Pagėgiai and Plungė districts

Project promoter: Tauragė district municipality administration

Project value: 248 842,66 Eur (859 203,94 Lt)

The award of the assistance for the projects listed above (projects with the highest scores and which were put on the reserve list) was commited after the merging two calls for proposals under the measure “Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions” (hereinafter – Measure). Calls for proposals were merged according to the huge interest of the applicants and the large amount of high quality applications received during the first call. Merging the calls will enable efficient use of time and human recourses: repeated submitting of the same projects applications as well as evaluation, selection and organization of the award procedures for the same projects applications will be avoided. Probability that most of all applications submitted for the first call and enrolled in the reserve list will be submitted for the secod call for proposals is very high. Furthermore, merging two calls for proposals will fasten the use of funds under the Measure and will allow the direct beneficiaries (children attending schools and pre-school educational institutions) to experience the benefit of the Measure results previously.

According to the Decision 16 projects were put on the reserve list (available only in lithuanian), thus recommending for financing in case project promoters to whom funding was allocated would refuse to sign project contracts or additional funding was allocated to the Programme measure “ Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions”.

The Decision concerning the award of the assistance for the four projects (submitted by Vilnius city municipal public health bureau, Marijampolės municipal public health bureau, Pasvalys district municipal public health bureau, Jonava district municipality administration) was approved by the Order V-24 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania

Purpose of the Measure – to improve the provision of health care services in the institutions implementing pre-school and /or pre-primary school education programs and schools of general education or vocational training schools implementing primary, basic or secondary education programs.

IMPORTANT. Eligible project expenditures may be incurred and paid from the day of entry into force of the decision of the Ministry of Health concerning the award of the assistance for the project (not only from the day of project contract entry into force).
