The decision concerning the award of the assistance for project under the measure “Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions”

On 13 April the Decision concerning the award of the assistance (available only in lithuanian) for the project under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009–2014 Programme “Public Health Inequalities” measure “Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions” (hereinafter – Decision) was approved by the Order V-493 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania. According to the Decision the award of the assistance will be given for Alytus city municipality administration project „Modernisation of health cabinets in school and pre-school institutions“ (Project code: NOR-LT11-SAM-01-K-02-016). Amount of grant assistance and co-financing is 247 738,36 Eur.

According to the Decision 15 projects were put on the reserve list (available only in lithuanian), thus recommending for financing in case project promoters to whom funding was allocated would refuse to sign project contracts or additional funding was allocated to the Programme measure “Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions”.

The Decision concerning the award of the assistance for the nine projects (submitted by Vilnius city municipal public health bureau, Marijampolės municipal public health bureau, Pasvalys district municipal public health bureau, Jonava district municipality administration, Telšiai district municipal public health bureau, Mažeikiai district municipal public health bureau, Panevėžys district municipal public health bureau, Lazdijai district municipal public health bureau, Tauragė district municipality administration) was approved by the Order V-24 and Order V-168 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania

Purpose of the Measure – to improve the provision of health care services in the institutions implementing pre-school and /or pre-primary school education programs and schools of general education or vocational training schools implementing primary, basic or secondary education programs.

IMPORTANT. Eligible project expenditures may be incurred and paid from the day of entry into force of the decision of the Ministry of Health concerning the award of the assistance for the project (not only from the day of project contract entry into force).
