Project "Improvement of health cares service provision in school/ pre-school institutions" implementation start conference

On 26 May 2015 project „Improvement of health cares service provision in school/ pre-school institutions in Lazdijai district, Druskininkai, Alytus district and Kalvarijos municipalities institutions“ implementation start conference was organized. During the event participants were introduced with the current issues of public health promotion in Lazdijai district municipality, public health care challenges and opportunities in general education schools in Alytus district municipality, public health care activities in educational institutions in Lazdijai district municiplality. Furthermore, during the conference participants were introduced with the relevance, demand and benefit of the project „Improvement of health cares service provision in school/ pre-school institutions in Lazdijai district, Druskininkai, Alytus district and Kalvarijos municipalities institutions“.

Planned project comprises activities which are closely related to improvement in provision of health care services in the territory of four municipalities: Lazdijai region, Druskininkai, Alytus region and Kalvarija. It is intended with this project to improve accessibility to health care services through renewal of health officies and installation of proper equipment. Overall number of health cabinets to be renewed – 35 officies. Out of these officies, 26 are planned to include minor works. All health officies involved in the project are going to be provided with basic equipment.
