Project “Improvement of health care services provided in school/ pre-school institutions in Pasvalys and Biržai district municipalities” contract was signed

Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania announces that on 2 March 2015 the trilateral Project “Improvement of health care services provided in school/ pre-school institutions in Pasvalys and Biržai district municipalities” contract was signed.

Amount of grant assistance and co-financing is 245 988,60 Eur

Project goal – improvement and expansion of health care in school / pre-school education institutions in the districts of Pasvalys and Biržai. New modern attractive visual measures acquired during implementation of the Project will help to give information for children more attractively, and it will be easier for them to absorb such information. Health education and healthy lifestyle training, using measures acquired during the Project, will have huge implications for the future of children because it will elevate the physical, mental, spiritual and social health of children. It will make it easier to transfer the most important health knowledge for the children and form their healthy lifestyle skills. It is expected that the Project will help to improve health indicators of pre-school and school-age children, decrease the number of diseases cases, the children will get the knowledge and skills of healthy lifestyle and healthy eating.
