Project “Improvement of health care service provision in school/ pre-school institutions in Šalčininkai district, Vilnius district and Vilnius city municipalities” presentation events were organized

On 27-29 April 2015 project „Improvement of health care service provision in school/ pre-school institutions in Šalčininkai district, Vilnius district and Vilnius city municipalities“ presentation events were organized.

During the events representatives of the Šalčininkai, Vilnius districts and Vilnius city education institutions and other authorities concerned were introduced with the project „Improvement of health care service provision in school/ pre-school institutions in Šalčininkai district, Vilnius district and Vilnius city municipalities“ (hereinafter – Project) under the 2009–2014 Norwegian Financial Mechanism Programme No LT11 “Public Health Initiatives”. Furthermore, participants of the event were introduced with the planned activities and timeline.

After implementation of the Project, health care service provision / accessibility in school / pre-school institutions in Šalčininkai district, Vilnius district and Vilnius city municipalities will be improved, sufficient working conditions in health offices for specialists will be provided, number of recipients of health offices services will increase. In long-term period, this will contribute to creating and fostering healthy environment in schools / municipalities, to improving of physical and mental health of children / youth / parents / teachers, to promoting healthy lifestyle.
