Project “Implementation of youth-friendly health care services model in Jonava district municipality” contract was signed

Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania announces that on 1st September 2015 the trilateral Project “Implementation of youth-friendly health care services model in Jonava district municipality” contract was signed.

Project partners – Jonava district municipality public health bureau, Association Jonava youth centre

Amount of grant assistance and co-financing is 44 191,53 Eur

The aim of the project – to encourage young people of Jonava district to choose a healthier lifestyle and to provide them qualified, accessible and satisfying their needs youth friendly health care services (hereinafter – YFHCS). It is expected that these measures will help to form a positive approach to a healthier lifestyle of young people, to strengthten healthy lifestyle, healthy eating, diet related to disease prevention, mental health, physical activity, injury and accident prevention, addictions prevention, sexuality, hygiene and other skills.

While implementing the project:

• YFHCS coordinating center in Jonava municipality public health bureau premises will be established;
• YFHCS coordinating and case management function will be introducted and supported;
• 4 Algorithms in priority areas of the YFHCS provision will be adapted and applied at the municipal level;
• Youth health portal at municipal level will be administer;
• sessions for youth health improvement in the municipality involving interinstitutional cooperation will be organized;
• youth health promoting trainings will be organized;
• free online access points via the Youth health portal and other websites of institutions providing health care or health improvement services will be created.
