Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009−2014 public health Programmes operators meeting in Portugal and dissemination of good practice

On 2-4 June 2014 the representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania: Head of International Projects Management division Virginija Ambrazevičienė, Deputy Head of International Projects Management division Gytė Paltanavičiūtė and Head of Personal and Public Health Integration Division of Health Promotion Department Audronė Astrauskienė participated in the several meetings with the representatives of Ministry of Health of Portugal, Portugal Central Projects Administration Agency, Faculty of Medicine sciences of New university of Lisbon and public health specialists were held in Lisbon. During the meetings representatives of mentioned institutions in Portugal presented the best of their country's experience defining the social factors influencing health inequalities; providing health care services for children and youth; and developing of the information systems for health monitoring. Experience gained and the professional relations with the public health care specialists in Portugal established will be used during the implementation of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009–2014 Programme „Public Health Initiatives“ projects and continuing further collaboration.

On 5-6 June 2014 V. Ambrazevičienė ir G. Paltanavičiūtė participated in the meeting of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009−2014 public health Programmes operators in Lisbon. Meeting was organized by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Ministry of Health of Portugal and Portugal Central Projects Administration Agency. Results, achievements and interferences of implementation of public health Programmes in different countries and the priorities of the next period were discussed during the meeting.
