Measure „Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions“ presentation event occurred
On 28 of May 2014 measure “Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions” under the Norwegian financial mechanism 2009–2014 Programme LT 11 “Public Health Initiatives” (hereinafter – Programme) presentation event was organized in Vilnius.
Specialists from municipal public health bureaus and municipality administrations were participated in the event organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – MoH). The participants were greeted by the Health Viceminister Erikas Mačiūnas. Viceminister emphasized that a major focus in the Programme is placed on the strengthening of child and youth health care in Lithuania. Also Viceminister underlined that in order to get the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009–2014 assistance for the improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school education institutions, partnership and cooperation between municipal administrations / municipal public health bureaus is playing an important role when applying for the assistance.
During the event objectives of the Programme and requirements for open call projects under the measure “Improvement of the provision of health care services in schools and pre-school institutions”: eligible activities, requirements for applicants (municipal administrations / municipal public health bureaus are eligible applicant under the Measure), partners, projects, applications and etc., were presented. Presentations were made by the Head of International Projects Management Division of the MoH PhD Virginija Ambrazevičienė, Deputy Head of International Projects Management Division of the MoH Gytė Paltanavičiūtė, Projects Manager of European Economic Area and Norwegian Financial Mechanism Division of the Central Project Management Agency Eglė Platūkytė and the Head of the Health Management and Resorts Division of the Health Promotion Department of MoH PhD Rita Sketerskienė.
