Conference „Project “Improvement of health care services provision in school / pre-school institutions in Marijampolė municipality” presentation“ was organized

On 13 March 2015 conference „Project „Improvement of health care services provision in school / pre school institutions in Marijampolė municipality“ presentation“ was organized in the Marijampolė district municipal public health bureau.

During the conference representatives of the Marijampolė municipality administration, municipal public health bureau, heads of education institutions and public health care specialists implementing public health care in education institutions were introduced with the news of 2009–2014 m. Norwegian Financial Mechanism Programme No LT11 “Public Health Initiatives”. Furthermore, participants of the conference were introduced with the project „Improvement of health care services provision in school / pre school institutions in Marijampolė municipality“ (hereinafter – Project), planned activities and timeline.

After implementation of the Project, quality of health care service provision in school / pre-school institutions in Marijampolė district will be improved. Fascinating working tools acquired during the implementation of the Project will allow more effective health training, will intrigue young people, will stimulate selection of healthy way of leisure time spending, will form the culture of a healthy lifestyle and will reduce the likelihood of risky behaviour. The skills of healthy lifestyle will be applied in the future by the schoolchildren who have acquired them at educational institutions and consolidated in their families, i.e. a general health condition of the municipal population will improve, the health discrepancies which will positively affect socio-economic changes in Marijampolė municipality will decrease.
