Bilateral cooperation funding granted to the Institute of Hygiene for implementation of bilateral activities
Ministry of Health of Lithuania, acting as Programme operator for Programme LT11 “Public Health Initiatives” of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009−2014 (hereafter – Programme) has granted funding for implementation of Bilateral cooperation fund measure B activities according to the application submitted by the Institute of Hygiene (No. DF-B-01) for organisation of a visit to Oslo on October 21-24, 2014. This is the first activity financed by the Bilateral cooperation fund under the Programme.
Aim of the visit is to get a greater understanding about the child health monitoring in Norway and evaluate possibility of adapting this practice while implementing the project “Development and Implementation of the Child Health Monitoring Information System for Systematic Monitoring of the Children’s Health Condition and Purposeful Health Policy Making“.
Representatives of the Institute of Hygiene and Ministry of Health in the meetings with Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Norwegian Directorate of Health and NOVA research institute will exchange experience in the field of child health monitoring: discuss the issues of routine health check-ups for children, content of information collected on child health as well as it suse on local, regional and national levels.
Visit will serve as a start for establishing contacts with potential partners from Norway, having experience in other related fields of the Programme (such as youth friendly health care services, health inequalities) and a possibility to discuss potential cooperation in implementing forthcomming Bilateral fund activities.
Applications for the Bilateral cooperation fund under the Programme (measure B) are accepted on continuous basis until October 30, 2015.
