From Monday, 14 February, travellers from third countries will no longer be required to self-isolate. With all the world in the orange (yellow) category, travellers from any country will have to complete a passenger form and present a document confirming one of the following three facts: vaccination against COVID-19, recovery from this disease, or a negative result of a pre-travel test for COVID-19.

A vaccination certificate will have to evidence: 14-270 days-old full vaccination (270-day limit will not apply to those under the age of 18) with a vaccine registered in the European Union (EU) (Comirnaty, Spikevax, Vaxzevria, Janssen or Nuvaxovid) or Covishield, or the vaccination with a booster dose of any of these vaccines.

A recovery certificate will have to evidence recovery from COVID-19 disease confirmed by a positive PCR test result in the past 180 days.

Those who are neither vaccinated nor recovered will be required to take a pre-travel PCR test within 72 hours before the arrival in Lithuania or take an antigen test within 48 hours before the arrival and present the negative result to the carrier before boarding a vehicle. Those travelling by their own transport can bring a negative test result, or they can do it in Lithuania booking a paid test, within 24 hours of arrival, from any medical facility or laboratory.

Please remember to take precautionary measures throughout the trip so as to reduce the spread of the virus. It is important to wear a medical mask, keep distance, avoid gatherings, avoid non-ventilated premises, and to wash hands frequently. People are advised against travelling if they feel cold symptoms (cough, runny nose, heavy breathing, running temperature, etc.).

Please also remember that according to Resolution No 152 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania of 26 February 2020 declaring a national emergency, border crossing will be restricted preventing entry of foreigners to the Republic of Lithuania. Exemptions for foreigners (from third countries) as regards the entry to the Republic of Lithuania have been laid down in paragraph 2.3 of the mentioned Resolution. For more information on border crossing or the arrival of foreigners, contact the State Border Guard Service (internet website: http://www.pasienis.lt), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (internet website: https://urm.lt ). Where a foreigner qualifies for at least one of these exemptions allowing their entry to Lithuania, they will also be required to meet the travellers’ requirements detailed in the table below, which apply to all incoming travellers.
