The Ministry of Health has updated the list of countries whose citizens or persons lawfully residing in them will be allowed entry to Lithuania. Due to the deterioration in the epidemiological situation in France, arrivals from France will be allowed subject to 14-day mandatory isolation as of 3 August.
Arrivals from Malta will be banned. Arrivals of Lithuanian citizens or foreigners arriving for work or with a special permit will have to isolate themselves for 14 days.
The list, approved by the decision of the Commander of Operations, will come into effect on Monday, 3 August. It will be updated next week.
The Ministry of Health notes that these requirements are applicable in the case of foreigners from the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Countries shall be deemed as virus-affected, where coronavirus incidence rate exceeds 16 cases per 100 000 population in the last 14 days.
The incidence of coronavirus infection in Lithuania increased from 3.7 to 5.7 over the week, but we still remain on the list of reliable countries. This means that, as before, Lithuanian citizens are allowed to come back from any country.
